This area appears to have been the site of former agricultural activity.
Remnants of irrigation structures remain. An island with salt grasses and old cottonwoods
lies not far from the west bank and could be easily accessed by a footbridge. Along the west
bank there is a large open meadow area.
Directions: Access is gained from Atrisco Drive,
between Valle del Sol and 47th Street.
