Restoration and research is ongoing at this burn site. Restoration efforts thus far provide examples of patchwork patterns of vegetation.

Directions: Access is from the open space parking lot at
Los Poblanos fields (east of the river) or the new open space parking lot at the southwest corner
of Montaño and the river. Walk west on Montaño to the trailhead and small rest areas from Los Poblanos fields
or east on Montaño from the parking lot on Montaño southwest.
