In the future, visitors to the Botanic Garden can also experience the Rio Grande
Bosque without traveling to another site. This site also provides the opportunity to connect
the traditional botanic garden to the post-modern restoration garden via bridge and trail.
It is one of the few places in which a southwest native riparian botanical garden could be
created within its actual place in the landscape, providing enormous educational and
interpretive potential. The MRGCD infrastructure will enable visitors to see how river
flows are managed and diverted into the irrigation system. The area also has some prime
fishing areas.

Directions: Take Interstate 25 south to Central, head west to Tingley Drive, turn right into the parking lot at the northeast corner of Central and the river or into the Bio Park parking lot.
