This South Valley jewel provides a completely (ADA) accessible recreation area and
includes a fishing pier and picnic areas. Visitors can easily enjoy the restored Bosque
here using pathways of stabilized crusher fines.
Adjacent areas provide examples of the repercussions of lack of restoration and
maintenance: understory domination by non-native plants (north of the area) and fire
(immediately south on the other side of Rio Bravo).
