This site features the largest mass of Yerba mansa found within the project
area. Yerba mansa is a native plant that prefers low areas where moisture collects.
It is indicative of an undisturbed woodland. Here, as well as throughout the Bosque,
it colonized under willow and cottonwood trees.
Directions: East on Arenal Road to the Rio
Grande Valley State Park; then walk north in the Bosque on the prominent trail closest
to the river.
